Muscadine Grape Breeding Program releases website

April 14, 2010 — Since 1909, the University of Georgia's Muscadine Grape Breeding Program has been dedicated to Photo: 
Muscadine grapesthe improvement of the muscadine grape. Currently leading the program, UGA Tifton Campus researcher Patrick Conner is working to develop new cultivars that combine large berry size with perfect flowers, earlier and later harvest dates, berries with dry stem scars and edible skins, and increased cold hardiness.
Home and commercial growers of the muscadine grape can access photos and information about currently available muscadine cultivars at the Muscadine Grape Breeding Program's website.
